Safety Manager

Safety Manager Job Profile: 

Our client, a safety-focused base metals mining company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Auditing health and safety processes and inspecting facilities to ensure compliance
• Managing OSHA and State Mine Inspector visits and addressing potential violations
• Conducting risk assessments to identify and control exposures to workplace hazards
• Leading all health and safety training on site and maintaining accurate records
• Investigating accidents, near misses, and injuries, and tracking implementation of preventive/corrective actions
• Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Health & Safety experience under OSHA regulations, preferably in mineral processing, facility operations, or general construction
• Strong leadership abilities, communication skills, and ability to lead training sessions
• Ability to work effectively and respond quickly under high-pressure situations
• Up-to-date OSHA, DOT, HAZWOPER, and/or Hazard Recognition training
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
