The Role:

You will direct and synchronize a diverse range of geotechnical activities and apply your knowledge in either surface, underground, or both, across a multitude of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ technical prowess and innovative problem-solving to conduct meticulous geotechnical analysis and design.
  • Develop and scrutinize detailed reports and technical specifications to uphold the highest standards of work output.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative environment emphasizing continuous improvement and shared growth.
  • Strengthen client relationships and play a strategic role in the company’s marketing and project acquisition efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in mining, with exposure in operations, projects, consulting, or a combination of them. Experience in either surface or underground mining or a blend of the two is acceptable.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GeoStudio, RocScience, gINT, FLAC, PLAXIS, and other geotechnical design software. Knowledge of Civil 3D is a bonus. Spanish language proficiency and readiness for international travel are valuable assets.
