Mine Administrative Manager

Location: Colombia, South America

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Mine Administrative Manager to oversee critical aviation and support services, including housing, transportation, and food services. This role also plays a key part in supporting mine operations through budgeting and process improvement initiatives. With the right experience, this position has the potential to develop into a leadership role, including succession for the Vice President of Operations or Vice President of Technical Services.


About the Role

The Mine Administrative Manager will manage essential support services that enable the smooth functioning of mining operations. In addition to overseeing logistical functions, the position involves improving financial processes and supporting operational efficiency. This is a developmental role for high-potential candidates interested in advancing to executive leadership positions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of aviation, housing, transportation, and food services.
  • Collaborate with mine operations to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of support services to meet the demands of large-scale mining operations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between support services and mine operations to align goals and priorities.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to optimize support services and reduce costs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members in administrative and operational roles.

Potential Projects You May Work On:

  • Optimizing the housing, transportation, and food services to improve cost efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Supporting mine operations with the development of advanced budgeting and forecasting tools.
  • Driving process improvement initiatives across support and administrative services.
  • Developing cross-departmental strategies to improve integration between operations and support functions.
  • Mentoring team members to prepare for leadership opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in mine operations or engineering with a strong understanding of budgeting and financial processes.
  • Proven ability to manage and optimize aviation, housing, transportation, and food services.
  • Strong process improvement and operational efficiency skills.
  • Leadership potential and a desire to develop into a senior executive role.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to work effectively across teams.

Preferred:

  • Advanced financial or budgeting expertise in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of support services management in remote or challenging environments.
  • Experience mentoring teams and developing leadership capabilities.
